La Finca Roja enjoys a unique location on the edge of the charming mountain village of Potes, surrounded by the spectacular scenery of the Picos de Europa. Here you can enjoy uninterrupted views of the mountains and the surrounding countryside, while the lively centre of Potes, with its cafés, restaurants and shops, is just a 10-minute walk away. This combination of peace, space and nature, together with the convenience of the village nearby, makes La Finca Roja a truly special place to stay.
The finca offers plenty of outdoor space to relax and enjoy your holiday. There are several terraces and cosy seating areas, a barbecue area for long summer evenings and a swimming pool where you can cool off or simply have fun. Relax in a hammock or on one of the sun loungers while the children enjoy the trampoline in the play area behind the vineyard.
During your stay, you are welcome to enjoy the gardens, the orchard and the vineyard. Feel free to pick any ripe fruit from the trees. The only exception is the grapes—we save those for making our own wine. 😊
The finca is privately situated against the mountainside with no immediate neighbours. Several beautiful walking trails start directly behind the property, including routes to the waterfalls and to the cross of La Viorna. If you would like to explore the higher mountains, the Fuente Dé cable car is only a 20-minute drive away and offers access to some of the most spectacular hiking routes and mountain activities in the Picos de Europa.
Parking is available on the property, immediately to the left after entering the driveway. There is space for three cars.
Good to know
Across the river, there is a builders’ merchant. On weekdays, loading and other business activities may occasionally create some noise. Because La Finca Roja is located in a valley, sounds can sometimes carry further than you might expect.
Most of our guests are not bothered by this and especially appreciate the unique combination of nature, privacy and being within walking distance of the centre of Potes. However, if you are particularly sensitive to daytime noise or are looking for complete silence throughout the day, we believe it is important to mention this in advance so that you can decide whether La Finca Roja is the right choice for you.
